Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our collectibles

What defines a "Secret Rare" card, and how can it be identified by its set number?

A Secret Rare is a card whose set collector number exceeds the officially printed set size shown on the card (e.g., #105/100). These cards feature unique art treatments, hyper-rare gold/rainbow finishes, or alternate artwork, and have significantly lower pull rates than standard rares.

How can a collector professionally distinguish an authentic 1st Edition Base Set English card from a "Shadowless" or "Unlimited" print run?

1st Edition: Features a black "Edition 1" stamp on the bottom-left of the Pokémon artwork window and lacks a drop shadow along the right side of the art frame. Shadowless: Lacks the 1st Edition stamp but retains the thin text font and lacks the drop shadow right of the frame. Unlimited: Has a drop shadow on the right side of the art frame and uses a thicker font for HP and text.

What is the exact deck construction criteria and win conditions in standard Pokémon TCG tournament play?

Answer: A legal deck must contain exactly 60 cards, with a limit of no more than 4 copies of any card sharing the same name (excluding Basic Energy). A player wins the game by achieving any of the three conditions: Drawing all of their Prize Cards (usually 6). Knocking out the opponent's active Pokémon when they have no Benched Pokémon to replace it. Having their opponent unable to draw a card at the start of their turn (decking out).

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide! International shipping times vary by location, typically 7-21 business days. All packages are fully insured and tracked.

How are items packaged for shipping?

All collectibles are carefully packaged in protective sleeves, top loaders, and bubble wrap. Vintage packs are shipped in rigid cardboard boxes to prevent damage during transit.

Can I request specific cards or packs?

Absolutely! Contact us with your wishlist and we'll do our best to source specific items for you. We have access to a wide network of collectors and suppliers.

What are the primary factors professional grading companies (e.g., PSA, BGS, CGC) evaluate when assigning a numerical grade to a Pokémon card?

Grading companies evaluate cards across four core sub-grades: Centering: The alignment and uniformity of the borders on both the front and back of the card. Corners: The condition of the four corners, looking for whitening, softening, or bends. Edges: Border integrity, assessing for chipping, silvering, or wear along the paper cut. Surface: Scratches, print lines, indentations, creases, holo foil bleeding, or staining.
